1/2 litre Milk

1/2 cup Rice

1/2 cup Sugar

1-2 pinch Cardamom Powder (Elaichi Powder)

6-7 strands Kesar strands

2 tbsp Mixed dry fruits (Sliced)

3 tbsp Ghee

Soak rice in water for 1 hour. |

In a deep bottomed pan, heat milk. Remove 1/4 cup of milk and add kesar strands to it and keep aside. |

Bring milk to a boil and add rice to it. Once rice is almost cooked add sugar and elaichi powder to it and mix well. Keep stirring occasionally. |

Add the kesar mixed milk to Kheer and mix well. |

In a tadka pan take ghee and fry the sliced dry fruits for a min and add to Kheer. |

Mix well. Turn off heat and serve hot or chilled. |
